DUDE!!!!

i study in a college that belongs to sathyabama group of colleges :S

rules in my college are evil-er

name : st.joseph's coll of engg.. :P

rule : LOL

write all subject notebooks and get your notebook indices signed from the respective staff

and the dept HOD will come and check few times a week :P

its all a part n parcel of hell :P
 
lol, no way. just a handful of colleges in chennai have them. Sathyabama, Jeppiar, and one more im not sure the name of. They were all started by senior police officers close to one of the TN leaders (someone from chennai totally needs to correct me here...my college politics is a little rusty). Not to worry, all the other colleges look at them as a big joke when it comes to administrative decisions...but they do manage to do well during the university exams.

I think they tried doing something like this in my coll once,..we had a strike the next day and all was right the world yet again. :P

EDIT : ah yes...st josephs...thats the one. poor peeps :P
 
maybe this is how the will inform the parents of the culprit .........."With great regret we have to inform you that your ward was caught red handed in the shameful act of speaking to a female version of our species"

lol i never hear new rules :S btw some collage have new rules so ... :P

if someone has rich so they can join rich collage and pay high end fee:P
 
mallu govt colleges rule :D

we used to have strikes for everything including once when a dead chicken's leg fell on someone :lol:

a guy tied it to a string , and then at the end of a stick, and we had a procession :rofl:
 
Heh for the record, my friend passed out of Sathyabhama this yr despite the university losing its AICTE status last yr; :lol:
The guy Jeppiar is nothing less than a kingpin of all moron'ish villains we probably see in tamil cinemas; Here:

Seems they used to have some elite squads there who used to guard the place like some asylum;

Some situations and the outcomes there:

a. Mobile phones... Seized, either call parent or will give the phone back after the convocation ceremony..

b. 2-3 hair strands [probably <1mm length] below the nose [or even out of the nostrils!!!]... Go to hostel, shave n come back...

c. A boy asked a girl a doubt before the exam... Both of u dont write exam, go home n come back with ur respective parents..

d. Lights in the hostel room after 11.. Knocks, searches the room, seizes whatever they can get hold of..



@greenie: +a million man; I wish I could've grad'd out of the MEC, Ekm if only that girl didn't commit a suicide and delayed the counselling; :cry:
 
GOD :O I always knew such rules existed but not in writing :S .....Coimbatore is much better off :|

But i have to say , there is this stigma attached to guys talking to girls all over Tamil nadu. Weird psyche, they think that a relationship between the opposite sexes invariably results in a baby :S. The whole Sathyabhama group is infamous for stuff like this, not the first time i've heard of this...there was a sting operation by Times now on these colleges. You can watch it here
 
this thing was once even shown in some Tamil Channel in news time.....

the guys some how managed to get a small cam inside the campus and interview a few guys and girls....college students in uniforms!!!!
 
Thye only way to get passed these rules...Suppose a gay or lesb couple found in hostel than.......this same funda was applied in an ad by a gal stating i have no interest in boys...and later was forced by parents to attend a goa trip with a guy...

The whole rulebook will perish
 
mabbe there is some one out there who will some how come to know abt this and some how will try to do the same in college....when he does the whole will come to know abt that for sure
 
EVIL PLAN :

can we get a gay/lesbian couple in that college ( at least pretend)

and say that the so called 'unnatural' relationship happened because of the college rules :lol:

The authorities will ask their parents to come to college; back to business in no time;
 
but it would expose a fundamental flaw in the founders logic :P

Oh wait, you guys don't have unions in colleges , so getting publicity/visiblity will be an issue, and even then the administration will have the edge.

some TN people will think that we are strict politicians @ our college level if we tell abt our student unions and strikes
 
this totally sucks man. why the f* have these people kept the college co-ed if they want to bring such rules.

it may be based upon very very old traditional values and stuff. but today, it is extremely sad.
 
This is typical of colleges in India. Draw attention to these inconsequential things and let the real problem of poor facilities, poor teaching etc, be ignored.

They pretend to be worried about this so called western influences and just look at the way they spell jewelry...the american way.
