My friend wanted to buy a cell and i shortlisted the three(se satio, samsung omnia HD and nokia n97 mini).he was actually inclined towards n97 mini but after seeing an omnia hd at croma he was blown away. but his doubt is whether he'll miss a physical keyboard in the long run.??

Satio is completely out. It is still buggy.

As for the physical keyboard, that is a very personal choice. I have been playing with some devices with physical QWERTYs and I have found the keys to be very very tiny for my use. In that sense I use the on-screen keyboards more. But really I prefer the old T9 keypads more. :P

But that is just me. Like I said It is a very personal choice.

Samsung Omnia HD is a great phone with great features, but Nokia is a class apart from everything. N97 Mini now also has free Ovi Maps on it. Otherwise they both run on Symbian S60 V5, with the Omnia HD having Samsung's TouchWiz UI layered on top.

ya but u can crack omnia hd and use nokia's ovi maps on omnia hd if reqd.

is satio so buggy taht is has to be ruled out.cos in the multimedia dept it outclasses the other 2 i think.

but yes n97 mini is a class apart

and also i suppose n97 mini is better thatn omnia hd in multimedia dept except for the camera.(am talkin bout the music quality and loudness of songs)

he needs something with a keyboard though he wud've gone for the samsung omnia hd just for its specs sheet which was just awesome

well wat u say is right that samsung phone's have good specs shet.but some of their performance actually dont do justice to their specs sheet. and winmo phones have a color limitation of 65k colors which might result in bands being seen.and last but not the least they cannnot equal n97 in terms of multimedia performance
