Recently I read a thread in TE / E about not to buy from Snapdeal. Someone had bad experience. Later I found a deal in Hot Deals, it was hot & attractive
Even though I was aware of thread, I went ahead & placed the order. Placing order was quick & I received the confirmation SMS within seconds. I placed COD as I was not sure, to play safe.
What sucks about Snapdeal is, their tracking system. They don't give tracking details, courier etc. So after placing order, it showed following statuses :
Order placed
Order packed
Ready to be picked up by courier
Yet to be delivered
etc.
I called up directly to their customer care no. 011-4537 1100. It's not a TOLL FREE :| Anyways, my call was picked within a minute, which I was not expecting. The CC guy just asked me the mobile no. with which I had placed the order. In next 10 seconds he gave me the tracking no & informed me it was sent via Bule dart. I don't know why, whenever I hear blue dart I smile
So tracking now easy after calling CC. Though it would have been good if they had shown order status their site. My order was sent on 21 Sept & I received it on 24th Sept [which is normal for my city].
Packing :
Packing is good, but not so great. But it is not bad at all. I would give 4/5
My order was wrapped with bubble wrap & was kept inside. Not so great, but decent nevertheless.
And yes, I received the bill also.

Why this thread ?
Well, we usually rant when we have bad experience, but not other way. I had a good experience with them, so posting this. And yes, I really like to encourage Indian E-Commerce sites to grow more & get more killer deals.
