^ no doubt, and You are in absolutely massive environments and at any situation you can see a radius of 30+km having an intense forest.

but still game should be slightly flexible.

i had to say good bye to my gaming rig and now got a HP dv6700 with a 8600M Gs (customised)laptop...jus tried out crysis demo yesterday playing @1024 x 768 with every thing on low ..jus obj details, shaders on med and physics high.with playable framerates.
Still the game was looking good as compared to some other games and thats a sub $700 laptop.

i know how it used to look on high details as i prev owned a 8800gt.

I don't know why people mention the upgrading thing whenever PC gaming is mentioned.I'm sure a 30 month old 8800GTS still kicks consoles ass in gaming.
You don't need a supercomputer to play games at a high level of detail.You don't need to be a genius to install and configure PC games either.

Only reason why developers prefer consoles is because of piracy.Its a fact that more and more PC releases wil be ports of console games,i've no problem with that.

@justin check this out:

XCM XFPS Sniper v3.0

^^With this you can use keyboard and mouse for shooters for 360.

XFPS Rateup

^^ With this you can use keyboard and mouse for shooters for PS3.

Do you still want to keep upgrading?

Doesn't work properly with many games,atleast on the Xbox version i played with.It isn't very accurate.
New games might not work with this.

even if new h/w releases in every months, im not upgrading for next 2yrs whatever happens. have to buy a DSLR as well. damn i need a pay rise :D

I agree with some of your points vinaycm, but console gaming isn't really cheaper than PC gaming is.You still have to buy a new console every few years(2 years currently). The only difference is that any peripherals you buy with the console is rendered useless with each new console you buy unlike a PC, and In India, PC gaming still offers better variety and more importantly, better pricing.

Also, Consoles themselves are becoming more like PC's each gen. Just look at the PSP and the PS3 with their inummerable updates...Or the several minutes gone in compulsory HDD installs which only marginally improves load times. Even console games come with patches and extra content now which only complicate things.
