and that my friend was taken frm shawshank redemption itself.......and except for scary movie 1 which was good every other movie was just bad......and always making a spoof on matrix when they do not find anything else.....sad

they made a spoof on matrix only in scary movie 1

The over-done sex comedy generally implied by the Scary Movies never appealed to me, but the points where they mocked other movies were simply great!

SM4 has Village, WoTW, Saw Movies etc - Should be great!
 
Scary Movie 1/2/3 > 4.... for those who say scary movies suck, get a sense of humor because I bet you didn't like the Hot Shots series too.

That said however, Scary Movie 4 wasn't that great... I mean, they could have covered "the exorcism of emily rose", but I guess they didn't do it because they already ripped off exorcist in an earlier sequel.

And those of you into horror, watch Emily Rose... clearly one of the best original horror films.
 
Its truly unbelievable how ne1 can not like Scary Movie...Ok..Its believable if u say that its not ur favourite movie but saying that the movie sucks is just not cool...Its a good time pass movie...There is nothing not to like in SM series...

BTW ne1 seen THE DATE MOVIE...now that is ONE movie whick sucked big time...I can't believe how 2 of the 6 writers of Scary Movie could come up with crap like that...
 
Yes, Date Movie was a bunch of bullcrap... the writers oughta be put on a pedestal and shot in the head.
 
Ya..definitely the hotshots movie were good. But you can't compare it with SM cos SM is a movie based on spoofs of other popular movies, whereas Hot shots does not make fun of any other movie other than an occassional gag here and ther. It is a movie which is independant. But to truly njoy SM u'll have to watch all the movies it has made fun of.
 
Hot Shots was a spoof of Topgun, Rambo, Star Wars and The Terminator.

And it was done damn well. No loud, sloppy and cheap attempts at humour like Scary Movie.

Seriously what???? Shawshank is a good movie but i dont remember a single funny scene.

Just saw the intro part of the movie and partly the scene where the mock the War of the Worlds.It was the most hilarious start in any Scary Movie series.Just wish the DVD gets out soon.I was a bit sceptical about watching this one at start(Coming from the Director of SM3 which was pathetic IMO)but Bah what the hell its a Scary Movie and its must be worth one watch.I still feel the Wayans brother should have retained the franchise.:hap2:
 
Saw the movie.... sad...

It looked like the only aim of the makers was to gross out the audience. All SMs have a bit of gross scenes... but this was saad. And didnt find it as funny as previous movies. I think even SM3 is better than this....

Now dont flame me... this is just my view... some of you may have liked the movie.

Some scenes were good... and I liked that President.... he was hilarious!!!
