Screeching noise from washing machine

Tbh, the shaking use to happen when the spin cycle speed is 1000 rpm or 800 rpm. It also use to happen in another case, where if we wash few clothes by hand and put them in the drum without shaking off water or wringing the clothes to remove water before putting in drum. I tried 600rpm and it wasn't that shaky. Since then I started using only 600 rpm and never bothered much about it. That's why didn't mention it before.
That's just an unbalanced spin. There should not be any shaking with an empty drum at 800 or 1000 rpm. At least not on the LG's but I've seen reviews on amazon saying it happens with Samsung. Well maybe then the machine isn't properly levelled. Or in need of a calibration. If it still shakes then something is loose and needs tightening.
We recently shifted to a different flat. My cousin who didn't know I choose the rpm specifically, just selected the default spinning rpm and then I noticed it didn't shake that much as before. That transportation probably did something to minimise shaking to a noticeable extent probably. Anyway I'll stick to 600 rpm only.
A slower spin puts less stress on bearings. If you're OK with the longer drying time stick with it.
I never used citric acid to clean though. Initially for few years, surf itself as suggested by technician for drum clean. Then vanish as per ur suggestion. Then recently I tried the surf excel descaler itself.
You said you used various descalers. Vanish isn't a descaler. But the surf one is. Did the noise begin after using the surf descaler? I've actually posted not to use it as earlier reviews complained it removed the shine from the drum. They might have altered the formula since. I figured they were the equivalent of toilet bowl cleaner from a manufacturer in France. Should descale fine but maybe more harsh
Interestingly my neighbor's washing machine shakes like there's an earthquake and sounds like an aeroplane takes off. Somehow they don't really bother about it at all. Probably waiting for it to give up and buy a new one ig.
Likely not levelled properly. Which then leads to loosening of counterweight and weakening of shocks due to excessive shaking and finally leads to premature bearings failure as indictated by aircraft turbine like noise. The machine isn't designed to work under such conditions.

Some brands will still proceed with such a spin instead of throwing an error and this leads to shortening the life span of the machine with the owner being none the wiser.

How old is your neighbours machine and what brand is it?
I am going to try the calibration methods today that were shown in the video you have posted.
After that try an 800 rpm spin with nothing. There should be no vibration. If there is then see above.

And can you confirm your results here after

Done this just now. There is no shaking at all at 800 rpm with nothing (empty drum). I was curious and tried the spin cycle with 1000rpm and still no shake at all.

The counterweight is not loose then and machine is level. Whether the calibration made a difference otherwise is for you to figure out

Seems calibration has done something, maybe. I tried full load of clothes on 800rpm and it is not even half shaky as before.

Fluke. Could just be an easier to balance load.

But what about the noise you began this post with?
It is still there. Looks like there's nothing much I can do other than technician assessment. I will update once they visit and assess the situation.
