I'm asking for some clarifications:
1. Is the USB cable Y shaped? One for data and one for power, or is it single port powered?
2. What are the read/write speeds (MBps)? My seagate usb2.0 500gb gives 80/60 but my toshiba usb3.0 1tb gives 55/25 only. I'm fearing 1.5TB will give even less.

All seagate drive have single port cables.
This gives up to 85MB/s on USB 3.0. Its impossible to get above 32MB/s on USB 2.0 on any drives.
