Seagate also has FREE Warranty Pick & Drop service......Naga said:WD warranty is better for me as I live in a remote place. They have an option for sending the drives on a to-pay basis while I have to send the Seagate drives at my own cost. I recently RMAed one of my Raptors but unfortunately recieved the to-pay info only after I had shipped the drive. Just a few weeks earlier I had sent 3 drives and one external to Seagate at my own cost and didn't know WD takes care of the shipping too. Lesson learnt!
If anyone applies for WD RMA, wait for a day or two for their e-mail detailing the to-pay shipping options.
Btw, Seagate was quite prompt in the replacements. No complaints there.
