are the 2.5" drives 5400rpm or 7200 ??

2.5" Ones are usually 5400rpm. 7200rpm are more exp. e.g., Dell charges a bomb to upgrade to a 7200rpm one :P

+ even the 5400rpm will max out the USB interface anyway :P

There are a lot of external hdd options available at seagate like freeagent pro, desk, xtreme ... a link to the exact product will help in making the final buy decision ...and some seagate external hdds offer the firewire port too which is much faster than the usb interface ... mediahome.in please post the product link for the drives....

I was looking for the models with firewire and esata port as they offer much faster speed and response .... they come under freeagent xtreme..
