Yes it's my fault too, I should have carefully inspected the motherboard before buying or atleast after getting it delivered. I bought the motherboard and the build got delayed and just never opened the motherboard after initially unboxing it. It has been sitting in the original box since then.

That's why I said I don't know if it can be classified as a "scam."
If I were you, I would try to persuade him to refund the money and for you to ship back the item. If that doesn't work, you can just leave a negative feedback.

I already asked him to send me that lock separately, but he is not agreeing to it and he is not ready to take the motherboard back too. I basically can do nothing other than leaving a negative feedback on his profile.

I don't know why people on this forum are very quick to jump guns on someone who has less reputation.

Now regarding the clip, it's not broken or missing, I had added it to the box as it came off while was removing the GPU. I am an amateur when it comes to buying or selling PC components, had anyone pointed out I need to explicitly inform the same I would have as I have put information as requested in my other threads.

About the deal, usually I prefer selling someone who is local so I won't have to ship. I was hesitant and had reached out to @puns before I proceeded with the deal as the buyer declined to pay anything before receiving. I shipped to the buyer directly and I asked him to review before releasing the payment. He confirmed he had received it and everything was fine.

Now coming back to the clip, firstly I would appreciate if people stopped misleading that the warranty is voided. The Motherboard in no was is damaged to void the warranty as if it's under warranty you can always ask for a replacement.

The buyer keeps insisting that I have declined everything, while he has kept threatening me of negative feedback. I am no reseller so I don't care. I have asked the buyer to claim replacement clip but he wont. I am under no obligation to run and solve something after 3 months. The buyer released the payment 3 days after receiving the product so he had ample time to raise this. I am not shoving the blame, but I am not liable after 3 months once the product is sold. Will any of the members in this forum claim responsibility that the buyer has not damaged nor misplaced the clip? The buyer stated everything was fine but now he claims he unboxed it after 3 months. I am not sure which other members in this forum are extending support more than 3 months after concluding a deal, but I am not.

The board is not physically damaged and unless the buyer has damaged it, the warranty won't be voided.

Als, other members calling me scum or scammer, I am not a reseller so I don't spend my time on this forum and I also do not have privileges, so I had to pay before I was able to type this message. Been a member of this forum before the feedback thing, but people have started hounding on members with low reputation as if they are scammers.

You are proving your self wrong here. First up that pci-e lock is not an accessory that has to be included in the box separately, if you already had that lock then you should have placed it where it belonged. As you mentioned that you have kept it in the box in some plastic pouch or something, you should have mentioned it but you never mentioned anything before or after shipping and you have mentioned this just 2 days ago and I already told you that I never got any lock in the package, I would have never complained if that lock was present in the package.

I have never threatened him of any negative feedback. I can share the screenshot of the full whatsapp chat if mods wants me to do so.

As far as damage or missing lock is concerned, the picture of the motherboard that you posted in your sales thread is missing that lock which clarifies who is at fault.

Yes I accept the fact that my eye never caught that missing lock, yes it's my mistake.

But don't forget you mentioned 5 out of 5 condition and never mentioned that the lock was missing on your board in your sales thread.

"I had added it to the box as it came off while was removing the GPU"

if it came off while removing why did you not reseat?
Anyone selling anything will make sure that component is in original condition to hold its value and not be considered broken.
Buyer explicitly mentioned that you denied anything related to mobo clip removed/missing /broken.
There is no mention of clip in post, also no mention of clip in box or in post(photos).
This clip can be consider as Physical damage to board and warranty will be voided.

If you need to provide feedback for your thread, you can always start a new thread in the 'Forum Feedback' section.

Why didn't you insert the clip back?
Where is the clip in your pics?
If bundling a tiny plastic part, why not inform in advance that the buyer needs to insert it?

Because, my last MSI motherboard had the same issue which I sold on Facebook and was never told its an issue until now. I am just unaware. I am doing anything in deliberation.

if thats the case refund the buyer, He paid for something which is 5 out of 5 condition and which seems to be not true, Gigabyte rma is shit and my guess is they will 100% deny warranty.
Check you post photos while all the accessory and mobo is visible i don't see any clip.
If there is any issue with the component its not 5/5 condition.
This not facebook mplace or olx.

If the seller is so certain about the fact that there is no damage and that lock can be clipped back again then All I ask from here from the seller is to just send me that lock separately and close this.

Unless its original clip you should avoid it, you won't be able to claim warranty if there is some other issues with mobo.
manufacturers are tying hard to deny warranty for any reason they can find as it is not profitable for them also some people miss-using claming rma and selling as new rma compoents
Razer has refused to honor warranty from unknown seller, open box and re-sold components in recent announcement
do leave a negative feedback if issue is not solved as this will help this forum and if seller does same ask mod to remove it from you profile .
