U can recieveoney via Western Union in India..

As of now.. WU doesnt allow Indians tos send money... :(

U can try ur bank's foreign xfer.. a wire xfer maybe..
 
bank charges something like 2-4 % of the amount u wanna xfer.. (atleast that was the scene last year wen i wanted to xfr money to a guy in china !!)

I knw ICICI / IDBI / HSBC / Citi.. do it.. dunno abt othrs / nationalised banks..

Just go to ur bank nd head for the forex / foreing affairs dept.. shld be easy !
 
yeah its good but the bank will charge you 3% of the amount that has been transferred as the foreign currency charge
 
you can even make a draft which can be encashed internationally. I made a 1000$ draft for a friend in the US through ICICI bank (since I have an account with the bank). They charged me a flat-rate of 200-300 bucks, I forget the exact amount now, and the whole process was pretty seamless - got done in a day. Just head to your bank and speak to the Forex department, it should be pretty simple.
 
i used hdfc, u need some code from the usa bank, they charge flat 200 bux charge for doing everything provided u have a hdfc acc, in 2 days the money is sittin in his bank, provided u dont do it over a weekend. pretty reliable and very fast
