Dude who knows, lol. They are out to get us, I'm not really interested in what they intend to do after they've finished us off.. haha :)

Anyways, we're just being alarmist here, these guys are never going to be a credible threat.
funny why then are US/Israel/EU fighting their terrorists unlike us

are you saying Pakistanis and Bangladeshis don't support or sympathize with terror. Its naive to claim they dont... why them look in our own country... Just ask Kashmiri Pundits who have been ethnically cleansed out of their own state

Would you say ppl in the countriees mentioned have not *also* suffered at the hands of these irhabists ?

All while people like you were pompous grandstanding about "secularism"

Name any party that does not claim to be secular :)

In a country with as many different communities as ours, i'm at a loss to see how its possible *not* to be secular about it. Any party in office will have to make policies that reflect realities on the grund and therfore will have to be 'inclusive' else we play right into the opposition's hands :)

nope, the trick is to let them fight your war for you.
Yes, trick is how to do it without inadvertantly doing the opposite :)

About Israel, i think even at the age of 60 there still does not seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel. I'd like to think ours is not as severe a case as theirs.

Because they have the capability. None of them face a nuclear armed neighbor. All of them enjoy tremendous superiority when it comes to training of their soldiers to the assets employed by them.

The US fights for oil, the Israelis fight for their existance, the EU fights because it yearns for its older status, we do not desire anything else. Our existance is not in threat, we do not hold a significant advantage over the pakis, we do not want our cities nuked, we do not want to end up fighting a guerilla war in Pakistan, we got our experience of guerilla warfare from op Pawan and I can't say we liked it.

We do have enough of an advantage to conduct minor cross border raids and not expect a full scale war, maybe even precision strike against terror targets.

You can't take them out by force. They're honor bound to seek revenge if you kill their brothers, its right there, pakhtunwali..badal, all of them paly a role here.

South Asia is not the middle east, we're not fighting a bunch of arabs here.

50 years later we dont hold significant advantage over terrorists - Pakistan and Bangladesh  either theres something really rotten about indian govt and Military or we really like getting slapped.

i mean just think about it. we are not a threat to anybody still we are attacked more often than Israel. guess being target practise for the terorists is the best we an do.

Why not? We're growing faster than them when we're almost 7 times bigger than them, we'll have more purchasing power.

Don't get me wrong, right now, the Indian armed forces can easily dismantle Pakistan. It will barely take a month, just a few hours ago the army pushed in 5,000 extra troops to the LoC.

We can take a few terror hits, we won't be able to take a nuclear warhead over our biggest cities. Our economy would be hit, growth would slow down, inflation would increase.. lots of nasty stuff. Thats why a war (if ever there was one) should be short and intense.

Ineffective intelligence agencies. If we had the network of Mossad we'd be facing a lot less right now. We've woken up though. 16 Indian consulates in Afghanistan, can only guess what they're doing against the Pakistanis ;)

guess being target practise for the terorists is the best we an do.

The Indian army has a 4:1 attrition ratio against muj operating in J&K, 1 IA soldier for every 4 muj. Target practice they're not. Civillians on the other hand, are always target practice. Even if a terrorist carried a sword instead of a bomb, we'd still be target practice.

dude, sucking up to a community and giving reservation is NOT secularism. Even supreme court recently rejected the Sachar commission and Left wing parties recommendation for reservation for Muslims.

also secularism is a two way street. not just abuse it when its convenient to you.
