Shareaza ,anyone??

used Bearshare (fast and furious) before it turned into a spyware... took to torrents then. Never went back to central server based P2Ps

PS: about a year ago tried Shareaza too but it was too slow.

I want to download music..initially i m using limeware..but now a days limeware is not working in my pc..dont know wht happened

last night I have downloaded shareaza,bearshare and BitTornado..I have uTorrent installed already.,. I am trying to downloading some music from utorrent while getting speed like 3kbps..then use BitTornado and getting 7-8kbps downld speed..i have downlded the 98MB file at 5-6hourss(i keep my pc on overnight)..u can suggest any better software to which gives me best speed..also some tweaking to get better is speed is appreciatedd

First of all your download/upload speed depends on your internet connection. But if you feel that the speed that you are getting are too low as compared to the speed that your ISP is providing you or as compared to the speed that you have got from testing your connection at Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test please have a look at:

1- To how many peers you have connected (in P2P client). If number is less than 10 that could be one reason

2- To how many leechers+seeders you have connected (in Utorrent/BitTornado). If number is less than 10 that could be one reason

3- Is your port open for Utorrent/BitTornado? If no, that's the reason for low speed

More can only be ascertain after knowing your actual connection speed and other details.

Also, please note that Bearshare is sh*t nowadays. It will definitely bring spyware to your PC so be careful. Shareaza in my opinion is slow. Ares is one of the fastest P2P clients but availability of files could be an issue on it's network.
DC++ and eMule I have never tried. In fact, my torrent work quite well for me. so far never felt any need to try anything else
