2 yrs ago i played nfs underground and i wasn't pleased at all:hap5:

2 mnths ago i played nfs underground and i was shocked :ohyeah:
what graphics ,what gameplay....everything seemed awesome...since i was new in gaming.
2 days back i bought nfs shift expecting it to be just "AWESOME"....and i am sad to admit ...shift didn't stand at all on my expectations:no:

hope this was the case with every buyer(specially):bleh:

Well, Shift is the most annoying game to be played on KB... It feels like i am Playing Race Driver Grid..... They have Overdone the accuracy of Car control.... :P

very true
and trying to bring that much reality craps the whole game...i loved the nfs series due to it's very fast racing cars with manageble gear shift...they crapped everything here:(
 
Hmm its actually more enjoyable playing games like GRID etc, sure the learning curve is steep, but I suggest stick to it and get a hang of the controls, will be a pleasure playing it then.
 
how is undercover and pro street?
last game i played was NFS MW and carbon.i like both Most wanted in particular.

Problem isnt the game. Its your preference. You seem to like Arcade games while Shift is a simulator.

@Others: Please dont compare Grid to Shift, they sure look alike but hell they are two different ends of the world. Grid is very fast arcade racing which is a charm on the keyboard, while Shift is a simulator which simply hates keyboard input!
Looking for Adrenaline rush? -> Grid online
Looking for high realism? -> GTR2 ...oops NFS Shift :P
 
Shift is SHIT. I tried with keyboard, I tried with Momo Force Feedback steering wheel, I tried with Microsoft Widewinder FF joystick.

It was shit, shittier and shittiest and not in that order. I'm unable to decide which was which.

Drift mode was ridiculous. The badges are ridiculous. The whole idea of getting driver profile points is ridiculous.

The graphics and physics are good though. But unfortunately, I'm not 8 anymore and I have slightly higher requirements from a game.

I felt GRID was a thousand times better simply because it is at least playable on the Momo. It's freaking enjoyable on the Momo wheel. Apart from GTR2 which is too realistic and serious and is played only when you have a lot of time, GRID was the best racing game in recent times.

Why the bloody hell cant EA make a decent game like NFS Porsche?
 
Looks like I'm the only odd one out. I really liked Shift and the way all the cars handled and drove and it had a lot of good tracks. No complaints at all

I liked everything upto NFS MW.. I was addicted to Most Wanted and UG series.. They ruined the series after carbon :@

is NFS Nitro for PC?
 
NFS Carbon for the drifts. Apart from that, it was sad. MW was good, but I didnt like the handling because it was lousy with the joystick.

UG 1 and UG was played with the joystick and it was fine.

Bottle --- That's the sad part. The tracks, the scenery, the attention to detail, etc in NFS Shift are AWESOME! That is why I guess I hate the game even more. I WANT TO play the game, but I cant because I hate it. It's like someone gives you your favourite dish and then throws it away. It would be better if they ruined some dish you didnt like anyway!

I wanted NFS Shift to be good. I really really wanted it to be good. It's an awesome game with awesome cars and tracks if the damn cars handled well.

The other stuff like points, badges, etc are minor stuff. I hate them only because I am so massively disappointed with the handling.

I've loved NFS ever since I was a kid and most guys here are like me I guess..... It's so sad to see what it has come to.
 
why isn't anyone impressed with nfs undercover.....it was the first game in nfs series that really liked:)
 
NFS Nitro is not for PC.

I reinstalled Toca 3 on Sunday and I haven't touched Grid and Shift ever since.

I thought Carbon was ok.

Shift is simply ridiculous. I am planning to use Rad Tools to convert the game vids and uninstall it.

NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 was the last game which looked like the NFS that we had begun to love unfortunately it wasn't very good.

So the crown goes to Porsche. This was really the best NFS game ever. Excellent tracks, nice soundtracks, great replays, controls were between a sim and an arcade game but was a perfect blend (unlike shift). I don't think any other racing game is as memorable as this.

I wish they would go back to that.

Undercover had nothing to offer, Most Wanted was way better.
