So yes finally... I'm quitting the biggest software company in the world and joining a small company in Navi Mumbai located in Mhape. Need to look for a flat on rent somewhere around there. Can anyone please help :bleh:. I have no clue where to start looking.

Lol, finally I get to previewing your HD650s. A god send. I'm living in Navi Mumbai too. Rented flat. Will come over to check out your sound equipment if its OK ;)

If you need a land agent or something I'll be glad to help. I could PM you my cell no if you need it.

FYI I like in Khargar, travel to Vashi, which is my place of work. I use palm beach road, which takes around 20 min on a pulsar 220. Khargar is a beautiful place, green, and hills and such. I loved it after moving. Had a bigger budget, but fell in love with the environs - its quiet, suitable for writing, story ideation and gaming :P

Look at Vashi or Nerul for housing. Belapur will be cheaper, but 4-5 km further as well. Basically the closer you get to Mumbai the costlier it gets. A 2 BHK in Khargar would be anywhere between 6.5 ~ 12K. Belapur 9K ~ 16K, Nerul 12K ~ 22K, Vashi a bit more.

There are also row houses you could look at. A plus if you have a car since parkings right in front of your wall.

@Abhi --- Make a plan quick!! All you Madras buggers come on over for one last meet at B'lore TE HQ.

@Sunny: lol.. Masky will live in Booleno :D

@Chaos: Congos on teh new job, all the best for a new apt.

and doesnt mumbai have the most expensive real estate in the country? or is it b'lore :S

^ Read me quoted post carefully!

And don't lie now.. your more worried about yourself than Marky :bleh:

20k is enough at vashi . Its just the older areas like sector 17(crowed) that not affordable at 20k. Just get an apartment on palm beach road. You want it closer to station, try moraj residency(area name).
broker details follows.
9819286988 bhasker-reasonable chap.
9820276336 paras- very easy to negotiate, has good no of flats to show, but very lazy-will take his time for cleanin and paintin

Also fam residency has a very good garden area and parkin. But no idea about apartment size. 1bhk is 8.7k as of june or july . At koperkharane

Bangalore is gonna miss dada ,:( ,the last meet at his house was fun , i guess all the TE peeps of B'lore are gonna miss him and his stuff,i met dada last year when i wanted to pick speakers ,he helped me lot ,he had the patience to come with me and help me in picking stuff, i bugged him the most whenever i try to buy stuff ,esc my laptop he helped me a lot and not to forget he was the one who got me Creative ZEN from the US,dada we miss u ,any how all the best for new job ,and dont forget to treat me for the new job :P

The 2nd Oct holiday + weekend would have made a good ocasion for a Bangy trip but Sumo is travelling to Chennai on those dates

Why dont some of you tag along and let's have a combo Chennai-Bangy meet in Pondicherry

Damnit, man! At least do the righteous deed of stealing some cool stuff from your MS office before leaving and then maybe, distribute it among the poor(us)!

wow awesome !!!:hap2: superb !! great news.
navi mumbai's really nice.vashi and koperkhairne will be really near from Mhape. but Vashi has started become really congested with those dozens of malls.:P

so if you want something that is really quiet and peaceful try renting a place in Seawoods \Khargar.

Khargar is total bliss as someone pointed out.

there's this mini marine drive coming up @ palm beach road..but i think the flats there are really expensive.
i think kharghar\seawoods will be best suited if you dont mind driving 20-25 mins .

there are flats kharghar \seawoods etc. which have amenities like swimming pool, gym, stilt parking etc. with rent ~15-20k for 2\3 BHK flats.
so when exactly are you shifting ?

by the way me too lives in seawoods and love it ..

wow! great news! Chaos dada is coming in our area! :D

i stay in koparkhairane which is like 5 mins away from mhape area.

kharghar/seawoods is a very nice place to live in. many new constructions and huge complexes with great amenities are available. but its around 30 mins drive away from mhape. also public transportation is not really great in this area (if you need at all that is). but i think you would be better off there, youll love that peaceful place especially after coming from crowded bangalore. :)

if kharghar is too peaceful for you :P, you can look in vashi and koparkhairane. vashi isnt really that congested except for sec-17 which is also fine imo. you will have access to everything in vashi.

koparkhairane is also pretty decent area. its very near to mhape and also cheaper compared to vashi and kharghar.

when are you shifting? would be great to have a look at your l33t stuff. :D

PS: fam society that jith mentioned does have a nice large area with garden and all. only a couple of such are in vashi/koparkhairane. all other are located in the newly developing kharghar area. im not sure, but i think the apartment sizes arent so great. will check out.

EDIT: 20k not enough? :O youll surely find one for 20k. maybe not in some places at vashi, but in kharghar and koparkhairane youll surely get a 2bhk flat. and yes, even though you may not like estate agents, its best to go through them here. they have a huge network and they know where flats are available. vashi and now koparkhairane is kinda getting filled up and a bit difficult to find flats, but after a little searching you can find a decent place.
