should i buy a used Motorola Milestone

Hey guys i m confused, i m getting a motorola milestone for 15k 4months used,but i m not sure should i go for it or no.
i love that cell , but is it worth it.condition is also good.
any one owning a milestone in this forum, i wuld like to ask u if any 1 guide me abt the custom rom loading and root. before i buy it.

It is a good phone. Is the hardware keyboard a deal breaker for you ? Motorola has a locked bootloader which makes it a slightly lengthy process to root and load custom roms. Head over to XDA-Developers and check the process for rooting and flashing custom roms.

If the weight and the flat keyboard is not an issue, this phone is quite good.

The screen and solid slide makes it something to look forward to. Pretty 'manly' for a phone if you ask me.

Its a good handset. Only downside that I found was the feel-less keypad and the odd placing of the D-pad. Since the phone is already over 15 months old, no one knows how far it will go with the Android updates. Last I heard, it was running 2.1 smoothly.

why not go for a NEW moto defy for a bit more... its better IMHO
