Laptops should i change this laptop?

i have a laptop (celeron 1.6 ghz lenovo) and am thinking of replacing this with a netbook (atom) . main uses - internet, need abt 2 gigs of ram because i have the habit of multi tasking and at times i have like 20 internet explorer windows open.

would celeron be better for this or an atom?

whoa whoa....so many queries within a few hours of joining....u cud hav just put all ur queries in one single thread instead of creating 3 diff threads...wud hav made more sense(read forum behaviour) and u wud hav a better holistic advice coming frm ppl...

anyways...my 2 cents....if u r so much into multitasking and into windows 7...keep away from atoms..

Just buy some extra RAM and feed it in. Why spend on a new machine, unless there are other issues you face apart from low RAM.

I think your laptop performance will improve a bit if you start using Firefox or Opera or Google Chrome rather than IE because of the simple fact that you have so many windows open.

If you are into that sort of multitasking, its better to stay away from the Atom processor based netbooks. Rather upgrade your RAM and use a browser other than IE.
