Graphic Cards Should I Switch to GTX480 SLi instead of ATi 5870 Crossfire???

30" FTW....................... You, of all people should not stop at 27..... So, I was right/. You are going for 2500x resolution... Good going...
 
I would not recommend a 25xx screen or really anything more than 1920 for gaming man. Its important that you get a steady framerate with the min framerate not dipping randomly too much . Not all combinations of cards can work that rez , many times in various video card reviews you will see test scores with "Fail" at 25xx rez. Its not a fool proof rez and there "seems" to be lots of issues other than having really really high end hardware just to run it.

If you want gorgeous colors decent sharpness and overall a nice experience without too much headache I would reccomend a 32 inch sony.

If you are having issues with the xfire setup I would suggest you ride it out for a bit longer and wait for updated products from nvidia which could take till christmas and then go with a multi gpu setup that you can run happily for over a year. amd shite is just issues and bugs and headache.
