Help me. I am getting 256 kbps download speeds.
:eek:hyeah:
This started happening 3 days back when my login-clent developed a problem. After logging in it shows a page fault and exits, leaving me online :cool2: . i think it may b the reason.
Anyways the real problem is i dunno what to download :hap5: .

It can't have anything to do with the login client, I am sure your local SAM server must be screwed up. Anyway, to make sure, try logging in with an alternative client ...

Anyway, links to warez is illegal here, but you can download linux distro's (check www.distrowatch.com ), also check this thread - http://www.techenclave.com/forums/showthread.php?t=678

BTW, would you mind checking the .ini file in your sify broadband folder and telling me the SAM IP address? I will try connecting to that :eek:hyeah:

How do you change ur SAM IP? When I change the bband.ini file it goes back to the old one immediately upon logging on? Or shud I change it and try logging in via easysify?

OK just dld ES2. Changed my SAM but it crashed. I think it may be to do woth port number.
ThunderBolt can u post ur whole file here? That code u gave is more related to HBS. It does not mention the login post.
Check the first (useful) line of the file.
Something abut remote upgrade URL. That gives the IP:port address. Or just post a copy of the whole thing.

I think in general the SAM server cannot be changed, but as sify keeps reshuffling SAM servers among its customers, its just possible someone may be able to connect to two different servers (some one at the sify broadband forum could connect to some other IP by telnet). As my SAM IP is 202.144.58.36, I am hopeful :)

Without delving into warez I will do the needful:
Download bitspirit-a bittorrent client and perfectly legal.
Go to LINK REMOVED and do the rest urself, coz anymore and this post will be edited.

Mod Note: Had to remove tat link as well. Coz I found sm illegal downloads there.

Btw, i am back to sane speeds of 10-15 kbps. Thank god i can now sleep at nights.
The best thing i download in these 2 days is a 690 MB video file of Half Life 2.
The player plays it in fast-forward mode but it's fun neverthless. And perhaps the only a way a PIII, Intel 810 guy can get a taste of HL2 :cool2:
