is there any way to click photos saved as IMG_001.JPG IMG_002.JPG and so on? tried open camera but it randomly assign the numbers and leave few numbers in-between. i want the app to continue saving the photos in continuous numbers. great if it can reset the counter.

basically strict sequential numbering filename.

do we have any option available?

In stock phone cameras, a very common naming convention/sequence is followed across devices afaik. This is also followed in digicams and dslrs.

And it is kept in this way to help prof. photographers and media enthusiasts to sort and arrange the media accordingly and helps very much to refer in the future.
By logic its the most basic and best algorithm they have came up with.

You can use Gcam and other such camera apps and define your own file naming formats.
