you get laptop`s by sahara for around 25k + taxes.. which would take it to around 30k!

there is an acer model i think 3003(raghu has told me abt this) for about 33k + taxes..

chk em out :)
 
There are Celeron models with 1.5GHz processor, 256MB ram, 40gb hdd, wifi and combo drive for less than 30k now. Thats inclusive of everything :D

And i would avoid the acer, their low end models have build quality issues and 2 of my friends who repair laptops by profession say that acer has the highest warranty claims/build issues (by percentage).

I have a Gateway with the following specs:Celeron 1.4 Ghz, 768mb RAM, 60GB HDD,DVD/CD-RW,15.4" trubrite screen,WiFi.I am hoping to sell it off in India(don't really need it as I have been eyeing a Dell XPS now).Will let it go for $770.Interested?

does it have warranty leaft.

is it valid in India.
 
It has over 2 and half years of warranty left?But its not valid in India as Gateway has no presence in India(I might be wrong.),but the build quality of gateways is excellent,and their screens(its a trubute 15.4" widescreen notebook,itself worth a $100 premium over a standard screen!) are much better than the rest.I will bring it along when I come in may,the lappy is as good as new!Lemme know if you want it.(refer to my thread in the market section.)
