Exactly same boat as you.
I am a self proclaimed watch lover. So anything smart watch, I am not a beliver. Yet, I would love to have a notification system. It lead to me to just one device. Thats not even in market.
Razer Nabu. You should wait for it.
The thing i hate about smart watch are: 1. Its tethered always 2. It needs to be recharged every 3 or 4 days. But i guess I have to live with item 1. But recharging ever 3 or 4 days.
No. already doing that to 2 of my backup phones.
For a "watch", these are not acceptable to me. I used pebble and Galaxy gear from friends for 1 weeks each (Love being in US
.). They are good for what they offer. but i am not going to add them to the list of one more items to be maintained. I dont want gestures or camera or anything.
Razer nabu is the thing i am happy with compromising. Its tethered yes, but at least battery life looks promising. and the design, I love. I can put it on my other arm.
like a wrist band. Its almost incognito.
All this from my point of view. I just want notifications. I want to retain my watch collection. NEVER going to replace them with any smart watch.
And i dont want a bulky peice of tech on my body. A month with google glass made me realize that. I dont want people staring at me.
