Based on the covert, shadowy world of the military sniper, Sniper: Ghost Warrior throws players into the chaos of a military coup, as they aid the rebels in restoring the rightful government to the embattled country of Isla Trueno.

When the democratic government of Isla Trueno is overthrown, an aggressive and hostile military command rises to power. A highly trained special ops unit is sent in to help the rebels accomplish objectives that only a sniper can handle. In addition to intense sniper missions, players will also take part in a variety of assault scenarios where their prowess with weapons will be a huge help to the undermanned rebels.

Just started playing the game and its pure fun.Completed first level after getting killed many times :ashamed:

The story line is simple you are given a task to kill complete it without getting noticed.The sniper in the game is too good.AFAIk there were a lot of sniper games which were out but this surely kicks @$$ of everything :)

Any one else playing this game??.
 
Was thinking for getting it but not really sure last sniper game I liked was Sniper Elite. Will see if I can get a PC demo for Ghost Warrior.
 
Its nice game.But at times its annoying enemies from long range hit with crappy guns and their shot gets registered,but we having sniper have hard time to hit them.Also AI has weird eyes can spot amazingly from bushes :| apart this its fun to play.
 
Tough game. Did not like sniper elite myself but I think while this game is better than elite, I cant say that this one is good enough form my taste so I will not buy it soon. Maybe thru some sale or something in future. And just fyi, this game was available on all our friendly places since 25th Jun. I dunno how, but they somehow managed to upload a copy even before release. Maybe stole it from a store or something.....
No gonna buy right away.. Will wait till the price drops down in 5 6 months.

The problem with these kind of games is that you have to get EVERY thing pefect, right from the AI to the environment. Otherwise, it renders the game totally unplayable for me. This game is like 90% perfect. But, as its a sniper game, it commands asolute 100% perfection, which has not been achieved by any sniper game till now. So, in my opinion, a very good game, only marred by some quirks, which is just nitpicking really, but matters a lot to me..... sigh....
 
I completed the first level myself, nearly 2 times now. Tried different approach each time. Just a quick question to those who are far ahead in the game, where do you find those health injections?

Those are near the entrance of the houses,near doors or inside the rooms of buildings.

It has co-op? I swear I didn't check any aspect of it's multiplayer man. I'll see how it works. Which level are you on now?

yeah.. they are in the door entrances or even on the walls inside some rooms.. the weird part is AI can hit you wid the ak's.. but you cannot even if u have the sniper.. which sucks IMO.. and sometimes its really hard to even hide.. they detect you even if you are camouflaged :S

though it took me just over 5 hours to complete.. wud rate it around 7.5/10.. :)

Too early to rate buddy. I think the people who have played more than one level (or completed it) might have a better idea. After playing the first level, I think it's pretty good, not great, but good. Crome Engine 4 works wonders for this game in terms of graphics. It looks extremely well for such a budget title and runs smooth too. This is not COD, so we don't go in guns blazing. We have our Sniper, standard silenced pistol and a knife. You follow a linear path which is marked with distance counter, so you won't get lost. The map shows pretty much every enemy in the closest vicinity. The core aspect is stealth sniping and how good you are at it. You can snipe everyone on the grid without raising any alarms OR you can have the whole battalion raining bullets on your ass. Like others have mentioned, once the AI knows our location, it's easy for them to pin us down. Imagine one of those Snipe only missions from Modern Warfare (All Ghillied Up). So duck, crouch and shoot. There is a neat system to slow time down while aiming with the sniper, more like stabilising your shot. Pretty decent game I would say. Not going to win any awards, but it's good break from those COD style shooters.
 
Game is little tough but good, graphic is like Battlefield Bad Company 2 but not crysis :no: i liked everything in this game except the engine n little irritating game-play very little because of engine hope so :@ i play on 1920 1080 with GTX 275 and get 40-45FPS on full max out everything full, and at medium setting like balanced setting in game menu there is very little difference in FPS and as i set it on low setting FPS goes to 60-65,i mean their is some thing wrong in engine like can say crap engine:( in crysis i play on max out with 4X AA i enjoy the game in BBC2 also but i didn't enjoy game play of this game :no: hope the updates solve some bug.

EDIT: one update is available but after installing it no change in game-play.
 
the strange thing is...being sniper and ghost warrior we are given snipers without suppressor :( which sucks imho when you have a pistol with suppressor why nor rifle :S 6.5/10 would be appropriate it has some annoying issues which are already stated here :(
