I thought this one deserved a special mention irrespective of having mentioned in the 'Last Movie You Have Seen' thread. :)

How many of you saw this documentary?

To say the least, it's a must watch! Those of you, who've already seen the Planet Earth series should give this a watch! This one depicts in a nut shell, the evolution of earth and how the inhabitation of us humans have changed the way she was!

Here're a couple of links you might be interested in reading:

HOME - a film by Yann Arthus-Bertrand

I think it's about time we should wake up and contribute whatever little we can to save our planet. Perhaps a couple of centuries later, our future generations might not be able to see some of the species which existed during our times because their habitats were destroyed as a result of our activities!

PS: Those of you who've seen it already pitch in your views!

^^Thank you for posting this. I have a huge documentary collection, don't know how i could've missed this. Downloading the 1080p version as we speak.

This was one of the BEST documentaries I have seen in the recent past. Even if you don't have much interest in saving nature and the world, you must watch it for the awesome cinematography. :hap2:
And yeah.. do not miss the website of Yann Arthus Bertrand. You will be bowled by the breathtaking pictures.

Yes, it's a real SLOW one

Cinematography is good, especialy if you watch the HD version, you'll enjoy it.

Guys guys guys, download the 1080p if you're upto it! A bit slow yeah but will keep you engrossed for 2 hours and you wouldn't realise that!

bumping this thread up because i finally finished downloading the 1080p version of this and man, it is totally amazing. you can take a snapshot of any screen of this documentary and it would be wallpaper material. i knew about this documentary back when it released but it was this thread that finally got me off my ass to download it and damn, i'm blown away.

highly recommended to anyone. top notch quality. and do yourselves a favor, get a high def print of it.

Where can i get hold of the documentary from (on HTTP downloads and not torrentS)

you can find the dvdrip on rapidshare if you look for it. the documentary deserves to be watched in hd though, and for that you have no option but torrents.
