Nvidia wants to be a major force in Data Center. Plus in coming years they will be competing with Intel and AMD in the CPU market. Who known they might also challenge Qualcomm looking at how much the Mobile market is florishing.

Nvidia does not wants to pay for any licensing for CPU to either Intel or AMD, having DC running with ARM CPU is not a far fetched thought anymore. This is what Apple is also doing by moving away from Intel. Just adding to it, when i saw the prices of 9900k, it was down to 40k which was inflated to almost 53k not a long while ago. Intel is going to have a tough time ahead.
