It will be better if u get some cds that are available for that age.I am sure u get usefull content in them

Ya, but which CDs? . If u go out, there's tons of software packages in the market.

@checksum, that's a good link. I don't think my daughter can handle it but will come in handy for the kids in my school. Repped.

like mentioned above..

just get some edutainment or interactive discs from leading stores like landmark etc..

don't expect something great off the internet..

Try tux Paint

Tux Paint is a free, award-winning drawing program for children ages 3 to 12 (for example, preschool and K-6 in the US, key stages 1 & 2 in the UK). It combines an easy-to-use interface, fun sound effects, and an encouraging cartoon mascot who guides children as they use the program
.

Tux Paint

I still remember, how My Neighbor's Daughter aged 5 years forced her Mom to install Linux, in her laptop so she can play with tux paint after she used it on My Linux pc. at that time Tux Paint was a Linux only application, but now due to its huge success & popularity it has been ported to windows & macs as well. So you don't need to install Linux To try out this App

I'm ready to buy the disks but the thing is I live in the North east where there's no proper shops with stuff like this. Will have to buy online, hence this thread.

@Gaurish, thanks. Screenie looks great. Will try it out.
