CPU/Mobo software for checking ram

guys please suggest a software to check ram stability i got a pair of ram from a friend but as i put it into my cpu and turn on my pc after 5min cpu hang and problem comes continuously ...which software is best for checking ram ?:huh:

Memtest86+ - PC Memory Test.
Windows Memory Diagnostic - a RAM Test tool.

better get hiren boot CD, it has lots of memory testing tools :)

You can only test using MEMTEST bootable version, cause on the desktop your system is stalling.

+1 to what asingh suggested...

To use memtest86+ u've to first install it in the usb drive or CD...

Download this: http://www.memtest.org/download/4.20/memtest86+-4.20.usb.installer.zip

It will automatically make the pendrive bootable...

Now what u've to do is that u've to change the BIOS setting and u've the change the first boot device from CD-ROM (If CD-Rom or HDD is ur first boot device) to USB-Drive... Save the BIOS settings and restart the computer... Now the computer wud directly boot from the pendrive (In which u've installed memtest 86+)

I know that bro, i only suggested him to download the hiren boot cd as i has other tools in system troubleshooting.
