I wish you had posted this a little sooner :( , recently picked up a surface pro 7 as I was in need of a windows tablet to replace my tab S7. Just a question, how good is the battery life?, My SP7's battery life is horrible, I hardly get 5-6 hours out of it with medium usage.

Free bump.

@CeyeN How is that working for you? I love windows but as a tablet OS, I feel it is horrible. What's your use case? Do you annotate/markup PDFs? If yes, what apps do you use?

@ayaskant12 doc, how is the pen input on this one? Comparable to the Samsung Tabs?

I had made few videos previously
The stock pen in these laptops are not great but a surface pen makes a hell lot of difference on these MPP laptops.
I don't have any surface pen with me but have a Adonit Ink M. I tested both stock pen and Adonit pen. I find the Adonit better than Stock Pen.
A surface pen will make it same as Samsung or Surface Laptop

My initial days as a surface pro user wasn't really great, It was major struggle to switch from the Tab S7 to the SP7. But once I learnt some of the gestures, using the tablet, especially switching Apps became a breeze, I stick to one note for note taking since it's bundled with my O365 subscription, But i still miss Samsung notes for its ease of use. If you do all your note taking using pen, then prefer using "Nebo" App. If you mix your notes with text and pen, one note is the way to go.

Battery life what I found is
Windows is very poor in understanding how to scale down the processor speeds when browsing or minimal workloads are being done. The processor kind of keeps ramping up causing unnecessary heat and draining. I use throttle stop when am using basic productivity tasks. Battery life improves to 7-8 hours usage(out of 80pc charge as I have battery saving feature enabled) and chassis remains cool.

I hope Microsoft integrate ARM processors sooner than the present pace and also improve on battery efficiency.
Apple seems to be running away faster than Intel can ever catch up
