I'm finally coming down to Delhi from the States after 3 years...haven't kept in touch with the Indian HW scene for a while....if anyone is interested in getting stuff from the States (preferably small single items $200 and up), I can bring a few along for 25% markup above cost (product+shipping+tax).

Not really trying to make a lot of money here just trying to help resident desis out....

I dunno if HW prices in India are still like they used to be at 75-150% over US retail...if they are closer now may not make much sense for the most part.

Mods: This is my first post in over two years so if any terms/conditions have been violated feel free to contact me to make the corrections.

Just as an FYI, I brought some stuff over for people back in May 2006 and everyone received their goods: dunno if those peeps are still around though.

Again, single items valued over $200 only and advance payment (paypal/ICICI bank) is required.
After seeing the prices available now in India it seems that there is little incentive for people to bring in/sell/buy things this way ....so the thread is now closed.

Thanks to all those who responded. But I hardly have the time for this now (things were different when I was a cash starved student three years back.;) )

To the PS3 guy: lemme get back to you in a few days.

I'll may still entertain requests for small items by PM...I'm not setting any % margin now so just PM me and make an offer.

If you are willing to take paypal, I might be interested. Can you tell me the exact amount you will take for a video card (from newegg )that's for around $300 including shipping and the charges you quoted?

Also, when are you coming back, as in what is the last date you will be able to place the order? I think newegg takes around 3 days for standard shipping i.e no extra charge, not sure.

Thanks in advance :)

have a look in the dealer section. If you are going to charge 25% markup, there is no point as it comes roughly same to what katmandude charges here for the similar service with option of paid RMA ( which is better than nothing ) and DOA guarantee.

Thats good...wish we had someone like him when I was back in India.....I can accept orders till 21st of Jan, again this is not a money making enterprise....without the 25% its going to be beneath my dignity now to do this....;)

And all newegg orders are subject to tax @ 7.75% for me so that's something to keep in mind....btw GTX 280s are going for nearly $200-250 on many sites....got one today myself for $195 AR....

@Sei: I will charge what I asked above so lets say u got a card from newegg for $250 x 1.0775 (tax) = $ 269. So the total would be $269x1.25 = $336...paypal fees can be split two ways.....

Non-CA sites are not subject to tax (eg. TigerDirect / Amazon).

I'll admit that this will only make sense if the said item is close to 70% markup over US retail in India (which was the case for almost everything a few years back).:)

Can you bring some spares for motherboard like I/o and power ICs? These items are in great demand at Nehru place, if you are interested I can provde you list.
