OK..... here is something I found in Mumbai and thought I would share it with you guys ..... it is a wall socket and plug made by Cutler Hammer in India. I got it a few years back and cannot remember the price I paid for it. It has a bayonet locking system and it is supposed to be Hot Swappable - that is if the stuff connected to it can handle a Hot Swap.
The cover is spring loaded so when the plug is removed the socket is covered. It is pretty well made and has a solid feel to it.
