Thrash metal legends Metallica are coming to India .. well you already knew that.. how about this one though. Sonisphere in India !!!

Up first will be Delhi on October 28, 2011 at F1 Rocks, held in Leisure Valley, Sector 29, Gurgaon as we help to celebrate the first Grand Prix race ever held in India. Night number two will find us at the Bangalore Palace Ground, Main Palace, Bangalore, on October 30 as part of the Sonisphere Festival.

Click through for website link..

All i can say is... There has to be metal god up there watching us Indians headbanging and sending the legendary festival to India !

Damn, Mumbai gets a thumbs down. Seriously Mumbai needs to get its music taste refined, we have all pop and hip-hop crap visiting but legends get ignored..

Umm you don't know Sonisphere ? You're not a big enough metal fan then i guess :|

And atleast read the first post , the link is already there.

Ya I am more of an instrumental guitar fan :P

But some Opeth songs like Burden, Isolation Years & Similar Metallica songs (slow melodic ones) I really love

& 1st link is for Metallica, not Sonisphere.

Anyway, I read about it & its a fest it seems. Like G3 maybe !! :P

If you read the link , Metallica says that they will perform at Sonisphere , Bangalore. Obviously there has to be a Sonisphere taking place for them to mention it :P

And yeah.. something similar but much larger. G3 is basically just Vai and his buddies lol

It's been named Sonisphere but nobody has confirmed (barring Metallica), with 3-4 quality bands this could be the biggest metal fest to have landed on Indian Shores. If lineup is not good then F1 baby!! October is booked!! \m/

Btw, Any confirmed news saying Indian F1 will happen this year? AFAIK, a lot more work has to be completed on the track.

I got my tickets booked for F1 Rocks, delivery time is October first week for the hard copy.

So, who all are coming for some headbanging? :ohyeah:
