i have a sony cybershot T5 and it has a puny 128mb sony memory stick duo.
im planning to upgrade to a 1gb or 2gb memory stick
i would like to know if the SONY 2GB MEMORY STICK PRO DUO 2 GB will be compactable.Are the sizes same?

yes they are easily compatible...

also, the cards come with an adapter which is used in putting the old cybershot cams..

OP- Ideally there should be no issues but you need to check your phone's specs/manual.

I am not sure how new or old model that T5 is but most earlier SE devices limited detectable/usable external memory to 2GB and some to even 1GB iirc.

Memory stick duo means the older, longer one?

You will need a MSPD to Memstick adapter if so.

Since genuine 'Memory Stick Pro Duo' (MSPD) is not cheap, some buy microSD cards and use microSD-to-MSPD adapter for their PSPs.

Not sure or cannot guarantee if the same will work successfully with all devices that require MSPD. :)

well, I brought the 2GB MM pro duo, in gray for Rs 420 around...

you may find it for more cheaper rates..

moreover, if you need the Memory stick Pro Duo to Memory Stick duo adapter, I can give it...

I have its of no use for me...

{well, I even have a 2GB Memory stick pro duo card, which is of no use for me.. if you needed I can sell it...}

^well it mostly a fake.

@BIKeINSTEIN
the older longer ones where just called memory stick/pro,shorter ones called DUO and still shorter ones are called micro or M2.

got the 2gb duo pro mark 2.its original with 5 year warranty and im one satisfied chap..
it works perfect with the cybershot

I doubt your words...

Even i thought same as you at beginning...
later I asked my cousin who is a mobile dealer..
he told that these small things are generally stolen in small amount from dockyards, when shipped to India... then they are generally sold in cheap rates...
he told that he had a personal experience of getting memory cards is dirt cheap rates near ship dockyards...
