I had ordered a Sony DRU-820A DVD writer from my computer guy- he quoted Rs. 2500 price installed and in my absence has installed a Sony DWQ120A DVD writer, and wants Rs. 2500 cost. I do not know the diff- between these two. Can somebody help- atleast what is the price of DRU-820A- seems to be bulk pack- No Sony Dabba- & what is rate of Sony DWQ120A ? This Sony DWQ120A any good ? Help Please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
^Q120A is a Lite-On 160P6S rebadge, while the 820A is a Benq 1670 rebadge. The Q120A is a better drive, better burn quality.

I guess i will retain the DWQ120A-Can anybody tell me what is price of Sony DWQ120A- without packing ( bulk pak), so that i settle with my comp guy.

The price of the sony 820a is Rs 2400 box(dabba ) packed and the loosely or the panni style 820a is generally not avaliable or it's a fake .The prices i am telling your are from delhi (Nehru place ) .So now you can tell your comp guy the details .

i was offered a DWQ 120 in bulk packaging from a VERY reputed dealer for a few hundred rupees(300~400) less than the boxed 820A which he was selling for 2.8k

i dont think he would sell fake..
