Killer Resolution, Killer Looks all in all a iPhone Killer for sure [I Never liked the iPhone] But this one is in my Wish list for sure........
The price would be above 30k INR for sure, I think there's no other
Device with that Resolution out yet.....
SE is looking to dominate the handheld device market..........
 
wow...totally amazing and as saiyan said..even for me this is the first windows mobile phone thats attracted me so much...just cant stop drooling over it..
 
superb phone... would have been better if sony would have sticked to original symbian UIQ interface.
Windows os=lot of problems.
 
Nice design, nice build, good resolution but at lower screen colors (65k?? wtf sony? you guys were once speeding to 262k color screens!!)

Anyway here are some facts from Xperia demo Gizmodo guys went through.

• The brushed steel finish wasn't shabby.

• Keyboard play was nice, even if clicks weren't as satisfying as those on a gummy Hiptop QWERTY.

• The demo only went as far as the 3D skin; anything beyond that plunged you into the depths of typical Windows Mobile-ness.

• The API for the 3D tile UI will be opened later on.

• Those icons are like the mini windows you'd see when switching windows in Vista or OS X's Expose. But on this tiny high res screen, they're impossible to read.

• The screen is not exactly brilliant, but I believe the Sony Ericsson booth could have all its phones brightness turned down to extend battery life on the busy show floor.

• It's cool, but because of the underlying OS, I wouldn't call it a killer of anything, let alone an iPhone.

one of the few good lookin Windows mobile phone I will say...

just let us hope that the camera module is also not supplied by HTC, they do make shabby cameras......

It is a sony ericsson smartphone, so I think it is going to be damn overpriced, atleast 35k...

Anything from the WM stable is crap...Even microsoft admits...
Microsoft admits Windows Mobile stinks, working hard to fix it in WM 7 and 8
As someone said as long as the 3d skin lies, u'l be good, but wen u go deeper, u'l only get ur hands dirty in shit..

And wat makes u call n82 a compass box???Its smaller than ANY compass box i hav used..:rofl:

Well Strange because N82 is one of the few Nokia phones, which actually ended up looking like a sony ericsson phone..... :P

Atleast it Has more then decent performance to back up it's plain jane looks...

I personally find the design of N82 to be boring, but not in any way offending... I just wish they could have made it smaller and slimmer
 
This looks HOT!

I just unlocked my 15th iPhone on Sunday (Believe it or not :p) and frankly I'm a bit fed up with the UI already.

Lack of feedback on the QWERTY is toooo annoying especially being used to the 990i's brilliant keyboard.

Now this looks like some serious sh1tz :ohyeah:

Yeah many people say it looks lik an SE phone but to tell u the truth, keep the phone for 2days and u'l eat ur words..It actually start to look very good and the the keypad becomes a non issue..and the s60 interface makes u feel as near to nokia as possible..
N come on man..support these guys they make something different and people brand it as SE stuff...:rofl: and if they dont, still the get kicked..:rofl:

As for the phone in discussion, If its windows mobile, den :no: ,

And why would that be? Or you are making this decision based on windows experience.
Believe it or not. WM6.1 is one of the most polished mobile platform I have seen. Stable, no apparent issues, tons of addon plugins to entirely change how you interact with your phone.

Well The screen colour limitation, then its start menu kinda thing, jus doesnt work for me..:no:
And Its not abt wm being bad..Its jus that iphone os, symbian and even linux these days looks, feels, and handles much better...
I know this sounds lik personal opinion..But thats wat most people also think including microsoft..
As for plugins, iphone and all s60 phones hav loads of those with much more oomphh(especially those with accelerometer etc.). Ofcourse if you are a power user, willing to use customised roms and all.Cool..Probably u'l extract lotsa juice outta wm, but then, u can get that, out of the box or with some apps in most other os..
 
Customized Roms is where the beauty of WM lies :P

I have not used the standard official WM rom ever since i bough the Dopod.

The custom cooked roms have a lot to offer. More than anything else. And mind you I have been loyal S60 user for since the days of 6600.

At the moment I am using my own modified shadow 2.0 WM6.1 rom on Prophet ( Dopod 818 Pro ) and it improves the functionality of this PDA 3 folds.
