Sony has just announced two new smartphones running on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. While one of them is the more premium Xperia SP, the Xperia L is the more budget oriented version, aiming to take over where the Xperia U left off, albeit with a much more feature rich base. Introducing, Sony's 1H 2013 budget Android offering, the Xperia L.
Sony Xperia L

The Sony Xperia L packs one of Sony's best camera sensors and pushes the smartphone out into the budget priced market. The Xperia L packs a 4.3 inch display and 1 GHz dual core Krait CPU. Not only that, the phone packs a premium design along with a beautifully placed notification led bar at the bottom (which we've come to love as the new feature in the 2013 Xperias). Also included is the bold and beautiful new power button on the right edge of the device as usual. The design is curvy and is remniscent of the Xperia J, which isn't a bad thing at all.
