Sony Memory Pro Duo 4GB for 2300Rs with warranty

Hey Guys,
Indiaplaza is offering 4GB Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo for 2300Rs and 1Gb for Rs995.

Has anyone bought these from their site. Are they genuine or fake?

I wrote a mail to them and they said it is genuine and it has 1 year warranty from Sony India.

What do you say guys. I am thinking of buying this for my PSP. Should I go for it?

only one way of knowing it for sure...somebody has to buy it and test it..and oh keep those mails where they have mentioned it as original.u may need it in case it turns out to be fake..
 
yeah it might be a fake cause i think the original sony ones come with 5 yrs warranty..

i think the one way of knowing if its fake or not is to use in the PSP and see if it supports MagicGate.
 
so the sony has 5 years warranty? is the warranty same for Sandisk as well? I called Sony World in chennai and he said that Sony MS Pro Duo 4GB is RS. 3300. Similar prices (~Rs 2500) are on indiatimes but all of them have only dealer warranty so i guess they are fake.
 
yup the sony has a 5 year warranty. and it costs 3300 odd. for 2300 you get the 2gb, maybe there was some confusion over the capacity?
 
That's why I avoided this thread until now. Of course,I was depressed to find out you can get it cheaper still.:(

how much capacity and from where? i called sony world today, last time they had said 3.3K for 4GB, today they said 3.7K. I can't believe these fcking guys.

PSP Slim hasn't started selling here yet. i wanna buy one asap.
 
oh it's a fake one :( i thought u got original for 2.8K.

I'll get a 4GB one with my PSP Slim here and another 4G from US. My friend's sister has already bought it for $40 i.e. Rs. 1600 only. I'll get it soon.
 
I have 2x2GB sandisk memory stick m2's original [PSP Magicgate tested]

1 from Anupam goregaon east for 1750 [Original]

1 from the shop where i got my PSP for 2500 [Original]

[I shud have had the patience to get it from anumpam but was in a hurry

and paid a lil extra than what i paid in anupam]

Anupam is a famous stationary shop where you get all sorts of stuff.

I know there is one in goregaon and andheri there might be more but i know these 2 only.
 
these are the prices my dealer quote me for Sony memory sticks :

ORIGINAL -with 5 yr. warranty.

4GB Rs.3200

(first he quoted 3300 but after bargaining came down to 3200..may reduce more even ordered in bulk)

2GB- Rs 1600

Without Warranty (Fakes)

Rs 2300 for 4GB.

(no warranty at all...there are chances the card may conk off the next day itself ..so the dealer himself told me to stay way from the fakes..)
