Which Should I buy?

1. Sony CS 24 - T6400 3 GHz 3GB RAM 250 GB HD costs Rs.48000

Is sony just a hype... or are there real benefits to buys a vaio. issues i know are - no option of XP, bad after sales support and issues with the keyboard. Will I be paying only for the looks? I love the CS24 but it has only Intel GFX card and Vista Home BASIC not Premium

2. Lenovo Y430 - T5800 2GHz 2 GB RAM 320 GB HD vista home Premium
costs Rs. 45000 and for another 6000 I can get NVidia GFX card

3. Dell I have been told has major issues. Overheating, crashes etc. Is it true. Everyone on this forum seems to be crazy about Dell so I have started considering it now. So far have done no research on it since all my friends said dell is not good.
Please advice guys... any help will be much appreciated.... especially if owners of Vaio CS series can vouch for its performance.... coz i have half a mind to settle for a Vaio.... but have a feeling it might not be the wisest decision... help me.
 
go for dell studio xps

they have pretty good after sales services

i own 2 dell inspiron laptops

no problems at all!!!

well ur right vaio is just hype nothing else

hey man i always supported dell but for god sake stay away from dell studio xps 13 and 16 i have already returned both the system and got my full refund
 
Stay away from inspiron series..

Dell's aftersales has been going from bad to worse now..any issue takes atleast 1hr on the phone..

Try Hp too, sony looks are worth the cost..some of the models i saw recently are really worth the price, unlike yesteryears when they are grossly overpriced..
 
i have 2 inspirons

bought abt i year ago

never ever needed to contact dell after sales services!!!!!

dell is just too good yaar!!!
 
i used 5 laptops from dell in 6 yrs never have issues but now dell has lost his charms all new laptops are full of bugs and issues which they are unable to fix. i dont want to recomend anyone on basis of past now in 2 months times i have returned 2 laptops and got full refund
 
Thanks guys for the inputs. As I understand Dell used to be good but it is not good anymore.

Are there any problems associated with Sony Vaio apart from the fact that it is overpriced. The model i am looking at CS24 has the following config -

T6400 Core3Duo @GHz, 3GB RAM, 250 GB HDD, Inter 4500 GFX card

I am not going to play games. I will be using multiple windows at the same time (browser, music player, photoshop, MATLAB)
I will run Vista Home Premium.

Is the above config good enough for all this.?

Also I have heard that Sony does not provide support if I want to downgrade to a XP OS... what are your views?
