Oh doood .. why WHY would you ever spend 1 lakh on this ..

Yea .. you should sell this with a Star Trek costume as well .. :P

@^^^ bro don't act smart its a premium high end sony vaio umpc
its retail price is still 2500$

many cheap pcs hav fingerprint scanners but most dont include the software to use it but sony includes the sony suite softwre

it has two cameras ,one in front and one in back, and also has a macro mode switch!

it has a 40gb ssd hard disk, i think u know the prices of ssd and not ur normal hdds

it has vista preloaded and it handles vista smoothly
just check the size and then think how they hav incorporated 3usb ports, one vga port, one 5in 1 memory card reader

this is way more than a netbook brother
just use ur eyes and a little bit of ur gray matter if u hav any!!!

i know this is pricey and my uncle bought it coz he z always on the move and needs to mail and do photoshop work on the move(he z a journalist in toi)
now ppl may ask ppl who buy iphones at launch for 65k(yes my frend bought a iphn 4 32gig few months back)
its their money its their wish
i did not place this ad for a fokatraam girdhaari

ppl who know a premium vaio's worth they may buy it

Okey .. now im just being a nitpick .. :P :D

4.5 inch color touch screen with stylus..

1 GB DDR2 SDRAM (on board)*3/-

40GB*4(Ultra ATA/100, 4200rpm)
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950
Four 40 Gig HDDs wowz .. so where do the SSDs fit exjactly ??
Also ..

it has a 40gb ssd hard disk, i think u know the prices of ssd and not ur normal hdds
SSDs dont have Hard disk .. SSD means there IS NO hard disky rotating thingy inside ..

Current day netbooks will give you more performance ..

Now this is geek-worthy .. :P
At 520 grams I do agree its quite light weight and would be able to throw it much further .. :P
USB High Speed USB 2.0 x 1

just check the size and then think how they hav incorporated 3usb ports, one vga port, one 5in 1 memory card reader

:D .. :D .. :D
Ok ok I just realized that you had copy pasted all those specs from the Sony website without bothering/noticing the (*) symbol ... I wil spare you the lol on this account.

^^ Bro, it's a very harsh reply :-(

Actually, both you and dexBG are correct in your own senses.

But the fact is that this UPMC didn't really impress, neither in the US, nor in India.

I myself made the mistake of buying the younger brother of this one (UX280P) for some Rs 65000

and selling it for Rs 17000 a year later (2 mos. back from now). That too with using it only for like 5-6 hrs in total.

No wonder, UPMCs are obsolete.

:( damn some one cleaned me up .. :P

I will not comment on this particulare sale (lest I be whipped again .. )

I completely agree .. the point that I loosely 'tried' to make was the same that UMPCs were an adventrous gamble by Sony ..
Too Sci-Fi'ish to commercially suceed ..
(Yaay .. i touched 100 posts .. :D)
