Sony unveiled its new flagship smartphone Xperia Z at this CES and now its new tablet called Xperia Tablet Z is in rumors which is expected to be released soon.
A Google Plus account called Xperia has leaked the info about the upcoming tablet.
The specifications for the upcoming tablet suggest features similar to the Xperia Z smartphone. It is expected to feature a 10.1 inch full HD display ( 1920x1080 ) and run Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS. Like the Xperia Z , it will also have IP57 and IP55 certification which means it will be water resistant and dust proof.
Under the hood, it will pack a 1.5GHz quad-core APQ8064 Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage.
It will also have an 8MP shooter at the rear and 2.2MP front camera for video calls. Connectivity side will have Wi-Fi, NFC , Bluetooth 4.0. It will pack a 6000mAH battery.
UnwiredView has also reported that the Tablet Z might be officially announced inJapan as soon as a week. Japenese Carrier NTT Docomo is expected to announce the tablet on January 22.
We expect to see the tablet being announced for other regions at the upcoming MWC.
