PC Peripherals **SOS** Help needed - Keyboard, mouse not working in windows 10

Just switched on my NUC to find neither Keyboard nor mouse working.
Shut it down and tried various things:

- disconnected my KB/Mouse, switched on connected them back after NUC booted. - Failed
- Switched off the NUC, removed the power. hold the on button for 5 secs, tried connecting KB/M. - Failed (famous solution for laptops)
- tried in different ports - failed


Guess what made it work.. Logged in to setup.. browsed through various options. Didn't make any changes, Discarded and exited. Poof !!.. NUC restarted and KB/M started working. !!!?? !! Weird.

If anyone of you faced KB/M freezing in windows 10 let me know. For now, its working

UPDATE : My wireless keyboard, logitech K400 plus is not working after this weird incident .. any solutions?

1. check batteries.
2. boot live cd usb of ubuntu and check in that if the mouse kbd are working.
