Storage Solutions SOS: Partation Lost

Friends,

I am dieing..... need urgent help.
I lost my crutial hard-disk partition.

The Disk setup :

C: 10GB NTFS (Windows 2000)
D: 20GB NTFS (trying to install VISTA)
E: 40GB NTFS (all my Project Work) LOST

I don't know what the hell happen, following the typical installation procedure to install VISTA on D:, no format to any partition.

But after installation I found that, E: have been marked as 'FREE PARTITION'

I am sure that the Data is still there, just removed the mounting, data is still there.....

please help me to recover the DATA.

It helped me a lot when my partition went kaput .. i cudnt access anything on my hdd back then ..

Only problem being that if u gonna be using the free version, then the xfer rate wd be pretty low..

Register if u wanna unleash the thing to the fullest...

if nothing works. connect ur hdd to a system which has linux. mount ur partitions, i am sure it will recpgnize all partitions, then you can directly access ur stuff.

i kinda had same type of problem .... everything is still there ... just partition table is corrupt ... i used stellar Phoenix FAT NTFS v2.0 to recover

ps. i recovered nearly 60 Gb .. songs , docs , videos :hap2: ... just dont write to the freed space for proper recovery

Try Hiren Boot CD, Included software called Easy Ontrack recovery etc is very usefull.

any good free tool to check for BAD-Sector ?
Windows format and chkdsk not reporting.... but I am sure there is some.... want to show it as proof while RMA.
