Audio Soundmagic PL30 or Sennheiser cx180

But M1 has high impedance , can my nokia 5233 drive it.

Also please tell me if Sansa clip+ is available anywhere, i think i will buy it too.

And thanks for your help.

I think at most you will loose the peak volume level apart from that your phone shall be ale to run them fine.

On the topic of buying a Clip+ / Zip you can look into this thread, it has a few online sources [not as reliable as Pristine Note] but we don't have a alternate choice as of now.

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

I would advise you to purchase the Pro-Alfa rather than the M1 if your primary source of music playback will be your Nokia 5233. The phone will find it very difficult to drive the M1 as it has a very high impedance level (32 ohms iirc). The Pro-Alfa, on the other hand, has a much a lower impedance (16 ohms iirc) and difference in the sound signature between the two is quite minor as well. The M1 will be more detailed and analytical while the Pro-Alfa leans towards being more fun-sounding and bassy.

You are suggesting M1 and eternoMind is suggesting pro alfa.

I am getting more and more confused.

And regarding clip zip ,i read the thread you mentioned, Grabmore is selling it for Rs.3350.Is there any other store where i can get it cheaper than this.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Well why don't you go for the PL-50 then, the main point of conflict is that you are going to listen to alternative and nu-metal bands for these more important than a thumpy bass is detailing of the sound and separation of instruments [on a good to extra large sound-stage].

Hope this explains my stand to you.

Also with regards to your query of Clip Zip I am sorry, no other distributor OR seller in India has brought the product here. This is the best deal you are getting. Tell you what get your earphones first, use them for the burn in duration if the volume levels and detailing are to your liking continue with the phone, else get the Clip Zip a month OR so later.

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

My suggestion was more pointed towards the OPs choice of music source. The Nokia 5233 (or for that matter most phones) would definitely find it a tad difficult to drive the M1s. On top of that, the phone is not the best when it comes SQ either (unlike its sibling, the 5230). But in terms of his music preference, definitely the M1 is a better choice thanks to its detailed sound signature.

#[member='PristineNote'], #[member='FaH33m'], #[member='esanthosh'], your take on this guys ?

A mobile phone surely wont be able to drive M1 to it's best . Clip zip is a good choice . Alternatively the OP could select the Pro Alpha which is very similar sounding to M1 but with slightly more coloured midrange and is more easier to drive due to lower impedance.

so, according to you which would be better b/w pro alpha and M1 if i buy a clip zip.

If have given my bands and artist prefrence on previous page.

^ Second , eternoMind. If you are getting a Clip Zip , then the M1 should be fine unless you crave for very very high volume .

I use sansa clip zip with PL21 & M1.

What my ear told me is M1 is not as detailed as PL21. Pl21 is to my ear is light (ohm), efficient & more detailed, but with fit issue & powerful bass its more tiring.

Where as balanced M1 is more cohesive sounding, comfortable fit & less strainful. For long term hearing M1 is ok. Since arrival of PL21 I'm using PL21 only. Good short sessions of music.

Hope this communication is in order.
