ok..here is a noob question!

i have XP home edition installed on my PC. jus recently i installed SP2 and then the autopatcher.
but it is giving me a really hard time now.
my PC confi :
128 MB RAM
10 GB hard disk
Pentium 3
500 Ghz
i know it SUCKS! :S ..wud be upgrading it soon
well..before i installed SP2, it used to take less than a minute to start up and now it is taking 5 FULL MINS :@ :@ . it is really unbearable to wait tht longer. :@
this thing is taking up too much of resources and i dont know how to get rid of it!!:(
any idea, guys?

depends do the folling things first and see if it speeds up...
1> stop the security centre from services.msc.
2> stop other unwanted services such as wireless configurator etc etc etc...

if it dont fasts up uninstall it .. but it'll be more slower :P simply get some more ram.

well thers no need of sys restore..
when u install sp2 it automatically creates backup unless you choose not to .. so from the uninstall menu simply choose uninstall sp2 it will uninstall it.
if its not showing there then it havent backed up the files in $uninstall$ folder .. in tht case a clean install can only remove sp2.
