PC Peripherals speaker at 1.8k max

I said him to buy Altec VS2621.
Is there any good solution at that price range?

look for the edifier X500 or something. fgot the name. 1.5K it was when i last saw it.

I recently bought "F & D A510" for 2089 from ebay, used 5% discount. They are pretty good and i am very satisfied with them.

Only thing I miss is the volume control at desk which you'd get in creative speakers.
