Speakers around 4K

One of the best dealers on eBay. Price may be lil bit high. But not marginal high IMO.

OP: Congrats on finding the edifier c2@3.5k . Yes, is definitely a better choice than VS4121@3.4k

Nice buy for that price i must say...I have the 4121 and i hate the boomy bass...

My friend with VS4121 suffered the same issue. Even another friend with MX5021 was complaining about pathetic-boomy bass. Sound cards solved both issues to some extent.

Guys this my first descent set of speakers so I am a bit of noob in this area. Speakers are sounding absolutely fabulous with my shuffle and absolutely crap with my laptop.

Is there any settings which I can tweak to make them sound better? I actually don't know how to set equalizers according to songs. Besides this my realtek onboard of Vostro 1510 have a lot of options like

Environment

loudness equalization

virtual sound

full range speakers

Windows media player also have a lot of effects but I don't know how to tweak them according to my speakers. Can anyone guide me?

Just start using iTunes with default settings. That's the closest you can get to an iPod. That said, you may play with the equalizer presets, sound enhancer, etc. in the options.
