I've read thru other posts on this topic but can't make up my mind. I got a real crappy 5.1 setup that I don't even put in my sig :D . Wanted to upgrade to a really good 5.1 setup but never could save enough EXTRA for those. So, finally I've fixed a budget for 10k for 2.1 or 5.1 speakers. Any more and I'd rather get a 8800 than spend on speakers (right now, that is).
All suggestions welcome :hap2: . Primary use will be gaming, movies and music, in that order.
P.S. Most movies that I watch are DVD rips so 5.1 is not needed there.

Googled it. Had never heard of it :) . Seem's to be good. But I have limitations as in I live in a remote area. So can you please guide me to an online site (indian) or contact no/e-mail of any dealer here in India?

edit: I got the numbers of the India disti from their site. Will talk to them 2moro about payment/ delivery options. Meanwhile, any more suggestions are welcome.

^^Z-5300 has been getting brick bats on this forum. I don't think the sound will compare to the A2s (after reading so many positive reviews about it), but the Z can be a possibility if some more guys second it.

Couldn't find the Z5300 on the Logitech site, they have this Z5300e. To be honest, I'm torn between 5.1 and 2.1 setups. The A2 sounds so cool (going by the reviews I've read about it), while the Z5300 would not deprive me of the surround sound in gaming :S ...
Just for this once, I'd like to go for a setup recommended by TE (within my budget). Other times, I ask for advice and then do my own thing :ohyeah: .
Okay, thanks everyone. Since the ones kind enough to comment all root for the 5300, I'll get it. And for all those guys not commenting now, don't start " ow, u should've gone for ..." when I have made my purchase :bleh: . Believe it or not, there's quite a few here in the habit of doing that :cool2:

^^ don't think 7.1s in my price range would be any good. Let's not complicate matters n stick to 5.1s and 2.1s.

P.S. It would help if u mention model nos when you suggest something. Thanks, neways.

My dealers tells me that the Z5300 has been discontinued and he can't find any stocks. Is that true?

In case it's true, any other 5.1 I should check out? Help me out, guys. I really need a decent setup...

i have been resisting a lot from posting in this thread bcoz i didn't wanted to indulge again in 5.1 or a 2.1 mess:P :P :P

IMO buy a MX5021 save some money with it & also get a xi fi card with money

or other thing is if u want best of both worlds i.e gaming surround & decent music I'm afraid then i can only think of 2 setups
one a 5.1 T6060 with analogs, other a MX5021 with a external DAC:D but that would though raise costs:(

Naga, it depends on what your priorities are. If movies and music and surround sound counts, then get a 5.1 setup, else the AE2 will own anything else left, right and centre.

For music, a stereo setup is a zillion times better than a surround one, so take your call!

I've kept this budget just for the speakers. I'll get a good card and a whole new rig in April near abouts.

No priorities. Let's be honest here. I'm no audiophile :bleh: . I just like to game a lot, watch DVD rips (stereo) and listen to either Worldspace or old rock classics (mostly MP3s).

Now, I know what I want when it comes to my PC. Except for the speakers :( ... I just want something that is good and will complement my setup. If I can get good 5.1s in my budget, I'd snap it up. Otherwise it's the A2s (saw THIS video on youtube, really impressed me :ohyeah: ).
