im looking for buying speakers for my comp..i was thinkin of atp 3..can u suggest some good speakers in the range of atp3 or shud i just get atp 3?

Edit-is it possible to use music system speakers for the comp??if yes,then which music system(basic one with normal mp3,radio etc.no DVD) wud u recommend??
 
try electronics stores ... the ones which sell electronic spares. dunno abt music systems. for that cash, get a good dvd player, and seperate amp + speakers or something like the altec lansing MX 5021 :D
 
Please someone suggest which is gud, VS3251 or 251. And is 251i available in Bangalore. If yes then which is better 251 or 251i , relatively.

its a inferior model.But still u test it out and decide.For me the bass was pathetic quality.

You will be better of with Creative 5.1 Inspire eventhough it has distorted bass at about 50% volume levels.
 
Logitech(TM) X-230(Rs 3.2K) is a good competitor to ATP3 (Rs 2.6K)

lOGITECH gives very crystal clear sound as most of the normal 2.1 would give .. but The satellite speaker drivers are phase plug type drivers. And at 80% volume the phase plug really starts showing its advantage. The Plug heats up quite a lot. It means that a good amount of the heat generated by the voice coil is being dissipated efficiently into the plug.

As for the sound clarity. there is no distortion upto 75%. at about 85%+ The distortion is kinda audible in some frequency ranges. At 100% volume the speakers rattle quite a bit. But its more than just loud at that level.

Lets talk about the subwoofer now. If you want bass, forget the altec. The altec's subwoofer will max out at 'normal' volume levels. I for one find that very irritating. The logitech sub thumps really hard and is enuff to make clothes move.

That is bass:S , that is boom boom only.

ATP3 is at par whan compared to X-230 anyday.

And its not the bass what an audiophile seek for, rather its accurate sound.:)

I think you got the point.

and i bet a good audiophile will prefer JBL or bose speakers rather than cheap quality altec
