PC Peripherals Speakers

ok...budget might increase so i hav to decide between a JBL creature II and an Altec Lansing mx 5021...

plz tell me which is better among the two....

If u get any one of the above then lemme knw the place , price , so that i can also buy....

I think i will go for JBL creature 2 but if u hv the bucks then go for MX5021. I have heard it at Karan's place, and its simply mind blowing

waise if u want pc speakers..

i wud recommend mx5021 even i bought dem recently n they really do rock...

and if u want a music system compatible wid ur pc den u can go for SONY Hi-Fi AZ2D or higher range in the AZ series..

i havnt used dem wid my pc cos i bought mx :p hehe

waise az2d has 2 speakers and AZ5D comes wid surround speakers and a woofer :)

Logitech(TM) X-230(Rs 3.2K) is a good competitor to ATP3 (Rs 2.6K)

lOGITECH gives very crystal clear sound as most of the normal 2.1 would give .. but The satellite speaker drivers are phase plug type drivers. And at 80% volume the phase plug really starts showing its advantage. The Plug heats up quite a lot. It means that a good amount of the heat generated by the voice coil is being dissipated efficiently into the plug.

As for the sound clarity. there is no distortion upto 75%. at about 85%+ The distortion is kinda audible in some frequency ranges. At 100% volume the speakers rattle quite a bit. But its more than just loud at that level.

Lets talk about the subwoofer now. If you want bass, forget the altec. The altec's subwoofer will max out at 'normal' volume levels. I for one find that very irritating. The logitech sub thumps really hard and is enuff to make clothes move.

First of all, I don't believe the X230 sats have phase plugs. Secondly your post is a verbatim copy of posts by 'pointblank' in this thread from TT, which actually referred to the Z2300. See this:

Little knowledge is dangerous dude. More so when it is used to advise others.

Pal it doesn't matter who 'pointblank' is. More important is that you have copied his post here without acknowledgement and still more importantly, you have wrongly applied his comments to the wrong model. Any number of 'wtf's in your post don't change that.:eek:hyeah:

Just slanging doesn't address the issue I raised. You are mis-guiding others.

As long as you kept to your own opinion on which speakers were the best, it was fine. It was still your opinion. But don't go overboard and misguide.

And try to improve your vocabulary. The English language does have a few more words than 'wtf'.
