now i even tried removing the wireless lan and the problem is gone but the asus site is still slow, then i tried using my dads laptop and the net was perfect all these three things download like normall
wats the freaking problem plzzz help

The router should not cause any interference in your downloads unless you have some sort of bandwidth management system in the router. As far as the Asus site goes it could be Asus's server connection at that particular time.

well i immediately plugged to main modem and it gave 200 constant

even the speed test result are good around 1.7 mpbs

Rely on torrents with lots of seeders and speed test sites to check speed. Asus and Microsoft both are sites which can be really slow. You mentioned rapidshare, torrents and youtube working fantastically but are saying your speed sucks based on 3 sites. What is it? Are speeds low all over or just these three sites?

The slowest wifi speeds should be faster than your broadband connection. Unless you're facing dropped connections, you should be able to safely put it out of the equation.

hah I used to have a 256kbps night unlimited MTNL plan and I used to get 2mbps speed. :bleh:

After they bought in more plans, my speed got to normal and I had to switch to 849 NU.

Now for your problem. Probably when you were on the wi-fi, maybe you were far away from the source. Now as the other members mentioned, it must be the site's servers fault. You can also try OpenDns.
