Spice's 5 inch Android phone, Stellar Horizon launched for Rs. 12,499

The Spice Stellar Horizon has finally been launched here in India. It is currently available at the online retailer Saholic (Spice Stellar Horizon Price in India | Mi-500 Specifications, Features and Reviews). The phone has a 5 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, which makes the ppi relatively low for a modern phone at 186 ppi (The Galaxy S3 and the iPhone 4S, both have a ppi of over 300). It also runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich which is now around a year old and not the latest and greatest by google, 4.1 JellyBean.

The phone was supposed to launch in late June with the Snapdragon s4 processor, but was delayed and the CPU was changed. It also weighs in at a hefty 205 grams, which is around 25 grams heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which has half an inch larger screen. The phone is selling at a price of 12,499.
